GFS&T Youth Summer Camp 2024

Non-member registration opens on Monday, March 1st, 2024 at 9:00am

Children ages 5-10 are invited to join us for a week filled with swimming, tennis, games, fitness, crafts, science, and special activities! Below are the dates for our Youth Summer Camp this year:

  • Session 1: June 24-28 (Enrollment Status: Waitlist)

  • Session 2: July 15-19 (Enrollment Status: Waitlist)

  • Session 3: August 5-9 (Enrollment Status: Waitlist)

Camp hours are 9:00 am to 2:00 pm. Drop-off runs from 8:45-9:00, and afternoon pick-up runs from 2:00-2:15. Aftercare is available from 2:00-3:00 for an additional fee. Aftercare pick-up runs from 3:00-3:15.

Each session is $250 per member camper and $300 per non-member camper; aftercare is an additional $40 fee for each week.

If you are a non-member, you must be sponsored by a member to participate in Youth Camp.

GFS&T Youth Summer Camp

Time

Camp hours are 9:00 am to 2:00 pm. Drop-off runs from 8:45-9:00, and afternoon pick-up runs from 2:00-2:15. Aftercare is available from 2:00-3:00 for an additional fee. Aftercare pick-up runs from 3:00-3:15.

Cost

Each session is $250 per member camper and $300 per non-member camper. Aftercare is an additional $40 fee for the week.

DAILY CAMP SCHEDULE

8:45am-9:00am Camp Drop-off

9:00am - 10:30am Tennis

10:30am - 11:00am Snack

11:00 am - 12:00 pm Special Guest/Activity

12:00 pm - 12:45 pm Pool

12:45-1:15 - Lunch

1:15-2:00 - Free Choice Activity (example activity choice options swimming, foosball, ping pong, art projects, games, etc.)

2:00 pm - 2:15 Regular Day Pick Up

3:00 pm - 3:15 Aftercare Pick Up

WHAT YOU NEED TO BRING

Campers must bring a bag snack and lunch, water bottle, spray sunscreen, tennis racquet*, tennis shoes, bathing suit, & towel each day of attendance. Please apply your child’s sunscreen before arrival. 

* If your child does not have a tennis racquet, purchase one through our Clubhouse Pro-Shop, and have it ready for them on the first day of camp.

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

Q: Who runs the GFS&T youth camp?
A: Our Youth Camp is supervised by GFS&T staff, and the daily activities will be monitored by high school and college-aged counselors. The daily tennis hour will be under the direction of our club tennis pros.

Q: Who can attend the camps?
A: Children 5-10 years of age may attend camp.  Campers must be age 5 by June 1, 2024.

Q: How many campers are in each session?
A: Typically, we have 20 campers in each camp session. We strive to maintain a camper-to-camp counselor ration of 5:1.

Q: What if my child is on the swim, dive, and/or tennis team, and has practice during camp hours?
A: We can ensure your child gets to their swim, dive, or tennis practice/lesson between 9-noon. In the registration forms that will be sent on May 1st, please provide your child’s swim/dive schedule information.

Q: Can non-member friends join the camp?
A: Non-members can attend Youth Camp if space is available when non-member registration begins. If all spots are filled, you can be placed on our waitlist if a spot opens up. Please note if you are a non-member, you must be sponsored by a member to participate in Youth Camp.

Q: What if I am on the waitlist?
A: We actively monitor our waitlist and extend enrollment offers when they arise.

Q: How do I pay for camp?
A: Members will be billed for Youth Summer Camp prior to May 1st. Non-members can be billed via QuickBooks or can pay by check. Please mail your check to Amy Sandridge, 761 Walker Rd, Great Falls, VA 22066. Please write your child’s name and “youth camp” on the check.

Q: What is your refund policy?
A: Refunds for camp registration fees will only be issued when written notice of cancellation and a request for a refund is received before May 15th. Between May 15th and May 31st, 50% of the full cost of registration will be refunded. No refunds will be issued after May 31st. Refund requests for Extended Day services must be submitted in writing at least one week prior to the start of each camp session. Please send all cancellation and refund requests to club@gfsandt.com.
