Gjorgji Popoviski — Director of Racquet Sports

Originally from Skopje, North Macedonia, Gjorgji brings an impressive international playing and coaching background to Great Falls Swim & Tennis. A former national champion across all junior divisions, he represented his country in the European Championships, Junior Davis Cup, and ITF events.

After competing collegiately at Alcorn State University and Alabama A&M University, Gjorgji went on to serve as Assistant Coach for both men’s and women’s programs at Alabama A&M. His experience spans private clubs, academies, and resorts, where he has led high-performance junior and adult programs.

Gjorgji is passionate about player development and takes a personalized approach—helping each player build confidence, refine skills, and reach their full potential on and off the court.

Coach Alan is a USPTA/USPTR-certified professional with over 35 years of teaching experience. A former Virginia State Champion and competitor on professional satellite circuits, Alan brings a wealth of knowledge and energy to every session.

He has coached and mentored countless sectional and nationally ranked players, as well as led multiple USTA championship teams to success.

 
 

Chume Bertrand – Tennis Professional

Chume is a PTR-certified coach with over 15 years of experience working with junior players, particularly ages 10 and under. She continues to teach with the Reston Association and has been an active member of the GWTA league.

After recovering from a shoulder injury, Chume is excited to be back on the courts—bringing her enthusiasm and experience to players of all levels.

 
 
 
 

Angie Wong — Tennis Professional, Pickleball Professional

Coach Angie is a USPTA-certified instructor who has been coaching juniors and adults since 2018. She currently serves as the head coach of the varsity girls’ tennis team at South Lakes High School.

A competitive player since 2008 and longtime USTA team captain, Angie has competed at multiple National Championships across levels. She is passionate about creating a positive, player-focused environment while helping athletes grow their technique, strategy, and confidence.
