Branden beets, tennis director
Branden is a USPTA Elite Professional certified instructor, a graduate of the USTA High Performance coaching program, a 4.5 rated USTA player, and was most recently the Head Pro at the Ashburn Village Sports Pavilion before deciding to join Beets Tennis, LLC at Great Falls Swim & Tennis. Over his 10-year tenure at AVSP, Branden held positions as the Adult & Junior Tennis Director and the USTA Development Director. Branden brings an energy to the tennis court that inspires players to learn and grow in the sport. He has coached 7 USTA adult tennis teams to the National Championships, and several more to state & regional titles at the 2.5-4.5 level. In addition to team practices, match evaluations, and a variety of technical and tactical class programs, Branden excels at creating pathways for his players. His junior tennis program at Ashburn has 300+ kids from pee-wee ages to the competitive high-school tournament player, and he's coached a number of Mid-Atlantic ranked players through the years. Two of those juniors from Dominion High School signed on to play college tennis in 2016! Branden has a keen understanding of how to design tennis classes and events to fit the needs of a variety of players – of all ages and levels, from beginner to advanced.

Coach Alan is a USPTA/USPTR rated tennis professional and was recently named Head Pro at Great Falls Swim & Tennis. Alan is a veteran of several Professional Satellite circuits as well as a past Virginia State Champion. In over 35 years of teaching Tennis, Alan has successfully instructed and mentored sectionally-ranked and nationally-ranked players and has also successfully coached a number of USTA sectional/national level, championship teams.
Randy de Guzman, Coach
Coach Randy is a certified PTR Master of Tennis for Performance. Before joining the GFS&T team, de Guzman was the Head Tennis Professional at Skyline Tennis(Onelife Fitness) located in Falls Church. Randy is very passionate about tennis and growing the game as has been playing for more than 30 years and has been coaching for over 20. A native of the Philippines, de Guzman coached several nationally ranked players in the country. After moving to the US, he also coached at Ashburn Village Sports Pavilion, Fox Mill Woods, Franklyn Farm, Sidwell Friends School and University of Maryland.
Randy played Division 1 college tennis at Southern Illinois University at Carbondale and Ateneo de Manila in the Philippines and is a 5.0 rated USTA player. Randy and his wife Christine have a 3-year old son and live nearby in Arlington.
Alex Angiolillo, Coach & PT
Coach Alex is a USPTA Professional certified instructor. In addition to his tennis certification, Alex is also an NCCPT certified Personal Trainer and Group Exercise Instructor based out of the Ashburn Village Sports Pavilion in Ashburn, Virginia. Alex is very passionate about tennis and fitness and while he has been a trainer for 5 years and instructing his own fitness bootcamp, he has been playing tennis his whole life. Growing up in Ashburn, Alex even had the privilege of being taught tennis by GFS&T's own Branden Beets. Alex has plenty of experience with coaching and developing junior and high school players, in addition to teaching children and adults. Alex is also a 4.0 rated USTA player and currently lives in Sterling, VA
Elliot Silva, Coach
Originally from Neodesha, KS, Coach Elliot played on the Varsity DII tennis team at Colorado State University for 3 years and graduated with a Bachelor’s Degree in Liberal Arts & Music. Upon graduation Elliot became a USPTA Elite Professional and joined worldwide tennis management Peter Burwash International (PBI). His experience with this company allowed him to travel the both nationally and internationally teaching tennis for clubs, resorts, and World Tennis Camp Events held in Austria. Elliot held two main positions with PBI... Head Pro at the Ritz Carlton Naples Resort, Naples, FL and Director of Tennis at Lansdowne Resort, VA.
Elliot left PBI in the fall of 2015 and joined WTS and the team at Ashburn Village Sports Pavilion where he worked closely with Coach Branden instructing youth & adult classes, and USTA women’s teams.
He has fun and exciting methods to teaching all ages, enjoys using visual examples, and is excited to bring his knowledge to the Great Falls Swim & Tennis membership!
