Summer Youth Camp 2018

This summer we will have three fun-filled weeks of summer camp at the club!  Children ages 5-10 are invited to join us for a week filled with swimming, tennis, games, fitness, crafts, science and special activities.  Registration is on a first-come, first-served basis. The Registration and Medical Form linked below must be completed and submitted to secure your spot:

 

CAMP SESSION 1: JUNE 25 - JUNE 29

  • Full-day camp is 9:00am to 3:00pm.  The cost for Camp Session 1 is $300 per member camper and $360 per guest camper.
  • A partial-day camp rate of $225 per camper is available for campers joining after 10:45am.  

 

CAMP SESSION 2: JULY 9-13

  • Full-day camp is 9:00am to 3:00pm.  The cost for Camp Session 2 is $300 per member camper and $360 per guest camper.
  • A partial-day camp rate of $225 per camper is available for campers joining after 10:45am.  

 

CAMP SESSION 3: JULY 23-27

  • Full-day camp is 9:00am to 3:00pm.  The cost for Camp Session 3 is $300 per member camper and $360 per guest camper.
  • A partial-day camp rate of $225 per camper is available for campers joining after 10:45am.  

 

Member DISCOUNT IF ATTENDING Multiple Weeks (Full Day)

If attending two weeks, the total cost is $550 per camper (a $50 discount for members).

If attending three weeks, the total cost is $825 per camper (a $75 discount for members)

 

SAMPLE DAILY SCHEDULE

9:00 - 10:30 Organized Sports, Games

10:30 Snack

10:45 - 11:30 Crafts, Science experiments

11:30-12:30 Swim

12:30-1:00 Lunch

1:00 - 2:00 Tennis

2:00 - 3:00 Special Guest/Activity

 

WHAT YOU NEED TO BRING

Campers need to bring a bag lunch, water bottle, spray sun screen, tennis racquet* & shoes and bathing suit & towel daily. Please apply your child’s first application of sunscreen before arrival.  We will apply again after lunch. On Monday, each camper needs to bring a white t-shirt for tie dye.

* If your child does not have a tennis racquet you can purchase one through our Club House Pro-Shop for $21, and have it ready for them on the first day of camp. Please email Jennifer directly at jennifer@gfsandt.com to order a racquet.

 

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

Q: What if my child is on the swim, dive and/or tennis team?
A: He or she can join the camp as soon as practice is over. We can also make sure child gets to their swim, dive or tennis practice/lesson between 9-noon.

Q: Who runs the GFS&T youth camp?
A: Camp will be supervised by the GFS&T Membership Coordinator, and the daily activities will be monitored by high school and college aged counselors who are all CPR  & First Aid certified. The daily tennis hour will be under the direction of our club tennis pros.

Q: Who can attend the camps?
A: Participants must include the child of a member, 5-10 years of age. Campers must be 5 by January 1, 2018 or have completed kindergarten.

Q: Can non-member friends join the camp?
A: Yes, a non-member guest of a GFS&T camper can register for camp. The guest must be sponsored and paid for through the member family's account.  One guest per participant. No unaccompanied non-member may participate in camp.
