| SUMMER TENNIS CAMPS |
2009 JUNIOR SUMMER TENNIS CAMP Under the direction of Alan Graves (USPTA/USPTR CERTIFIED)
This program runs week to week all summer long and is open to all juniors age 6-15 (beginner to intermediate/Advanced). Classes will be structured by ability as well as by age and will consist of stroke production drills, games and supervised play. The camp runs from 2:00 - 3:30 in the afternoon Monday through Thursday with Friday being reserved as a make up rain day (if needed). In the event it does not rain on a given week, you may participate in an extra day of camp on that Friday for an extra charge of $ 21.00.

Junior Development
Alan Graves , Director Of Junior Tennis, will focus on enhancing our Junior tennis program. Alan's Junior development program concentrates on fundamentals, emphasizing stroke production mechanics, footwork, and emotional/mental efficiency. For maximum results, we highly recommend combining the Instructional and Team programs. The Junior program is structured to teach good sportsmanship, proper court etiquette, score keeping, as well as correct stroke mechanics. Junior Group Lessons will start on Tuesday April 18th and will continue throughout the Summer and Fall. Junior Tennis Camps will begin on June 22 and will run, week to week, throughout the Summer. We are offering two pre-season Mini Junior Tennis Camps for any juniors that finish their school year early. Please check the posted schedules.

A one-week program especially desIgned for juniors age 6-15 who finish their school year early! If you are out of school earlier than the Fairfax County schools and you are interested in jump starting your tennis season, this is just the camp for you.

JUNIOR TEAM TENNIS 2009 Team practices begin on the week of May 4th. Team matches, begin at the end of June and will continue through the end of July. Matches are played on Wednesday mornings. Weekly line ups are based on the Junior Tennis Ladder. All Challenge match outcomes should be reported to Alan. Sign up sheets will be available on the Tennis Bulletin Board. We need Team mothers/parents to assist with the driving to away matches and to help with refreshments at home matches. We would like a volunteer parent representative, if possible, for each team.
